ENOUGH ALREADY!

So, can we drop the pretenses now? You know, the ones where we say that while everyone has differing opinions, everyone in the end supports the troops and loves their country, despite their criticism? The masks have dropped on the other side, so can we stop kidding ourselves?

Senator Durbin's off-the-wall and over-the-top...no, see that is way to mild. Let me try again.

Durbin's vicious and blatantly anti-military slanders, and the lack of criticism of them from fellow Dems and lefties, should show everyone who is not a deluded ideologue the truth. In fact, if there is any doubt, look at the support he is getting.

Here is Daily Kos, a true, true asshole no matter how you look at it:

The Wingers are freakin' out about Durbin right now, trying to shut his efforts to speak the truth. But if they really wanted to protect the soldiers (six more who have been killed today), the way to do it is to stand for basic democratic principles and ideals.

Such as the one that dictators and tyrants use torture, democracies do not.

The truth?

Lets go to what Osama Bin Durbin said once again:

"If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime _ Pol Pot or others _ that had no concern for human beings," Durbin said.

I am not going to go into the figures, and numbers and the litany of the abject horrors of the regimes that come rattling off Durbin's tongue with ease. Either you know, based on history, what a ignorant or completely dishonest comparison this is, or you are an ignorant twit.

I am not going to list all the ways in which we have gone out of our way to treat these mass murdering fascists thugs with kid gloves, because you either know it by now, or you are an ignorant twit.

Nothing in what Durbin said even remotely resembles the truth, and those who claim otherwise are either stupendously brain-damaged, or they know they are lying and do not care, because their agenda is more important than the truth. Since I do not think either Durbin or Kos are morons (just anti-American, borderline traitors), then I have to assume they know they are lying, and the reason is they have another agenda. Of course, lying in support of their agenda, nomatter what that is, is taking the form of slandering the troops they supposedly support. Yeah, okay.

But look at what Kos said again:

The Wingers are freakin' out about Durbin right now, trying to shut his efforts to speak the truth. But if they really wanted to protect the soldiers (six more who have been killed today), the way to do it is to stand for basic democratic principles and ideals.

I'm a little confused. WHY does Kos want to protect the soldiers, when they are the ones that are one doing the torturing, carrying out the genocide and are behaving like the very worst murderers in history? The guy is SO fixated on his goal of attacking Bush, the war in Iraq and the war on terror, that he cannot even maintain consistency.

Kos, do you get this, you stupid schmuck? If the US military should be counted among the worst fascist and totalitarian thugs in history, WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO PROTECT THEM?

The answer, of course, is the KOS does not really care a good goddamn about the military. He does not care about the truth. His "Screw 'em" attitude extends beyond American citizen contractors. He cares about power, about getting his guy or guys in office, and about his agenda, which seems to be America to leave itself defenseless.

Oh, you don't think so? Well, fine. You give me an explanation for a guy who is this dishonest and craven that he would support such a lie, then call for action which contradicts the lie, all in the same paragraph. You let me know what you come up with; I'm sticking with my answer because it makes sense.

Bottom line is this: There are people, American citizens, who really do not care what happens to this country, who do not care about the military. Denying this to ourselves does us no good. We need to start calling things the way they are, because the well-being of this nation, and everyone who cares about it and the freedom it supplies, really is in jeopardy.

Oh, and Kos, another thing:

"Such as the one that dictators and tyrants use torture, democracies do not."

Another thing dictators and tyrants use is the "big lie". That's when they make such outrageously incredible charges that people say to themselves, "They CAN'T be lying about that. Who would have the balls to lie about a thing like that." You would have made a great propaganda minister. Oh, wait, you already are. Hope the check from Osama comes on time.
